Welcome to our web site - or, as we might say here in New Zealand - nau mai, haere mai - come in and have a look around. Our Society is one of the oldest and most active musical theatre groups in Wellington, which is the capital city of New Zealand. We were formed in 1957 and each year we aim to perform at least one major show that will enthral audiences in the Wellington region. In addition we produce a number of concerts each year that not only give people pleasure but also help us to raise funds for our major productions.

Whilst a key part of the Society's repertoire is the work of Gilbert and Sullivan, we are also produce other popular musicals and operettas. These include such shows as The Merry Widow which brought a wonderful response from our audiences.

Members of the Society are not limited to people who perform on stage. Putting on a show is a team effort that requires a wide variety of skills. We need people who can run publicity campaigns, build sets, persuade sponsors, sew costumes, manage people, organise props, design, put up posters, run the Front of House or just help by making the tea.
